RUSSIAN MIRACLE OF DEMETRIUS BRONZE PLAQUE ICON - A Russian Orthodox bronze plaque icon of the Miracle of Demetrius of Thessaloniki with selected saints. The centerpiece depicts the scene of the Miracle of Demetrius of Thessaloniki: the holy warrior Demetrius, sitting on a mighty horse, strikes the impious king Koluyan with a spear, who seems to fall into the abyss. Saint Demetrius is dressed in military armor, with a fluttering cloak on his shoulders. The holy warrior holds a spear ending in a cross at the top in his left hand, and with his right hand he holds the reins of the horse.
