JAPANESE COLOR WOODBLOCK PRINT BY KITAGAWA FUJIMARO - Kitagawa Fujimaro, Japanese, 1790 to 1850, a color woodblock print, Beauty in the Snow, depicting two women in traditional kimonos walking under umbrellas during a heavy snowfall. The theme of women or lovers in the snow sharing an umbrella was popular among ukiyo e artists, including Suzuki Harunobu and Katsushika Hokusai. Signed with Calligraphy and two red seals, lower right. Framed.
