THEOPHILE STEINLEN SWISS LITHOGRAPH LE COUPABLE 1898 - Theophile Alexandre Steinlen, Swiss, 1859 to 1923, an original lithograph titled Le Coupable, and issued as plate 134 in the celebrated series Les Maitres de lAffiche, or The Masters of the Poster. It was printed by Imprimerie Chaix, Paris, in 1898. Steinlen was one of the foremost artists of the Art Nouveau movement, known for his empathetic depictions of working-class life, cats, and Parisian street scenes. Modern Prints And Art Collectibles.
