LOT OF FOUR JUDAICA ISRAELI COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS - A collection of four commemorative medals dedicated to important figures and historical events related to Israel and Jewish history. The first: The Touro Synagogue medal depicting the Touro Synagogue, the oldest surviving synagogue building in the United States, located in Newport, Rhode Island. The second: a medal bearing a portrait of Golda Meir, the fourth Prime Minister of Israel. The inscription around the portrait identifies her as Prime Minister of Israel and indicates the year 1969. The third: a medal with a portrait of David Ben Gurion, the first prime minister and founder of the State of Israel. The dates 1886 to 1973 indicate the years of his life. The forth: a medal bearing the name Jonathan commemorates Operation Entebbe also known as Operation Yonathan, a counter terrorism hostage rescue mission conducted by the Israel Defense Forces at Entebbe Airport in Uganda on July 4, 1976.
