Zen Buddhism and the writing of Carl Jung much influenced the spiritual direction of his painting. The work of Paul Jenkins is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the National Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Tate Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, among many others.
