DOLF RIESER SOUTH AFRICAN ABSTRACT PRINT ON PLASTER
An abstract print on plaster, siigned with initials D. R., for Dolf Rieser lower right. Dolf Rieser, 1898 to 1983 was a South African painter, printmaker, and teacher. He illustrated the 1952 edition of Two Tales of the Congo by Joseph Conrad with eight copper engravings. He was the author of Art and Science published in 1972. Additionally inscribed on the back side: Plaster, Abstract in Red and Green, only 2 editions, this is number 2. Framed.
