ATTR GERTRUDE ABERCROMBIE PUFFIN COLONY OIL ON BOARD - This oil on wood board, attributed to the American Surrealist Gertrude Abercrombie (1909–1977), depicts a colony of five puffins perched upon a rocky shoreline under a cloudy sky. The work is rendered in a simplified, folk-influenced style and is signed and dated ”Abercrombie '71” in the lower right corner.
