The mixed media icon with egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood panel. The icon is overlaid with a gilded silver oklad or riza, adorned with repousse decor. Marked with an 84 Russian silver standard, a makers mark, and other marks. The Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God is the patroness of children and adolescents.
