The text reads: Increase labor productivity in industry by at least 50 percent. Such slogans were typical of the era of industrialization and post war reconstruction in the USSR, when mass labor initiatives, such as the Stakhanovite movement, aimed to significantly exceed established production quotas. Designed by V. Zaitsev and N. Ignatiev. The poster is closely linked to the ideology of the Stakhanovites, innovative workers who achieved record breaking results through the rationalization of labor and the efficient use of technology.
