WWI RUSSIAN IMPERIAL CROSS OF SAINT GEORGE 4TH DEGREE - A Russian Imperial military award, the Cross Badge of Saint George, 4th degree. The badge is decorated with the monogram in the center and numbers 258 and 113 on the arms of the cross. Letter B on the left arm and letter M on the right arm of the cross, which indicates White Metal. At the top of the cross, it reads 1 m, meaning that the cross dates back to the period of the First World War, when the number of recipients of the award exceeded 1 million people. At the bottom of the cross, it reads 4th degree. On the reverse side is depicted Saint George on horseback killing a dragon. The St. George Cross is a badge of distinction from the times of the Russian Empire for awarding lower ranks, established in 1807 and included in the Military Order of the Holy Great Martyr and Victorious George.
