RUSSIAN IMPERIAL GRENADIER SAPPER BATTALION BADGE - A Russian Imperial bronze badge of the Grenadier Sapper Battalion of His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Peter Nikolayevich. The badge features a double-headed eagle resting on a shaped shield, crowned with an imperial crown. The eagles wings bear the monograms of Emperors Paul I and Nicholas II, while its chest displays the Moscow coat of arms. On the shield, crossed axes and a flaming grenade with the monogram of Grand Duke Peter Nikolaevichsymbolize the battalions engineering and sapper heritage.
