KOBAYASHI KIYOCHIKA JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT - An antique Japanese woodblock print titled Twilight at Hashiba by the Japanese artist Kobayashi Kiyochika, 1847 to 1915. Depicting a ferry boat carrying passengers across a river toward a rainbow appearing in a dramatic, storm-cloud-filled sky. Created around 1880 during the early Meiji period, this color woodcut is part of a series that depicted the changing landscape of Tokyo as it modernized. Signed lower to the center and to the lower right quadrant. Framed by a wood multitiered frame. Dimensions Frame 13 x 16 in. Image 8 1/4 x 12 1/4 in.
