LOT OF BUDDHIST MANDALA THANGKA PAINTINGS ON FABRIC - A lot of two Nepalese Thangka paintings on fabric. The lot contains two Buddhist wheels of time called Kalachakra Mandalas. Finely hand painted on fabric with high definition details. Inscribed with Calligraphy to the center. The Thangka was used in religious processions, in temple interiors, and on the home altar. They often have elaborate compositions including many very small figures. A central deity or symbol of it is often surrounded by other figures in a difficult symmetrical composition. The thangka serves as an important teaching tool depicting the life of the Buddha, various influential lamas, and other deities and bodhisattvas.
