RARE FRENCH NAPOLEONIC PERIOD SLATE ROOFING HAMMER - An antique French slater's hammer. Napoleonic period, ca. 1800. Hand-forged caff, Assette on Essette, specially made to cut and trim the slate at measure, punch holes and fuse the slate on the roof with a nail. The hammer is shaped like a Napoleonic hat with the pierced letter N at the center. Historical Relics, Napoleonic Wars, Napoleon Bonaparte, Hand Tools, Hammers, Antique Masonry Equipment.
