EL CID CAMPEADOR SOUVENIR SPANISH TIZONA SWORD - A souvenir of the legendary Spanish sword called Tizona. The original belonged to the national hero of Spain, Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, better known as El Cid Campeador. The sword is distinguished by its distinctive guard with curved bows reminiscent of flower petals. The hilt is composed of an ornate swept guard with openwork scroll motifs, a textured grip, and a matching decorative pommel, all finished in a gold toned metal. Marked on a ricasso.
