The left print features the U.S. Steam Frigate Fulton, a side-wheel naval steamer active in the 1830s to 1850s and later associated with the early Civil War period. The right print depicts the Collins Line steamship Atlantic, one of the most celebrated American passenger vessels of the 1850s, built to rival Britains Cunard fleet on transatlantic routes.
