ART DECO EDITORS COLLECTION LITHOGRAPH PRINT BY ERTE - The Editors Collection lithograph, created by the renowned Art Deco artist and designer Erte Romain de Tirtoff in collaboration with Park West Galleries in 1974. The work features complex blind embossing. The fine vertical strokes in the background consist of the artists printed signature repeated many times over. This graphic print was originally conceived as a base poster for exhibitions, an open canvas for event announcements. The blank space at the bottom was intended for the subsequent addition of text detailing dates, addresses, or specifics regarding particular exhibitions at the gallerys branches. Erte, 1892 to 1990, was a distinguished Russian and French artist, graphic designer, set designer, fashion designer, and sculptor, and one of the greatest pioneers and founders of the Art Deco style.
