A Mid-20th Century Smiths Sectric Bakelite Wall Clock - A Smiths Sectric industrial wall clock dating to the mid-20th century. The circular construction comprises a dark brown Bakelite case and a cream-painted metal bezel. The off-white dial features black Arabic hour numerals and an outer minute track with triangular markers at five-minute intervals. The clock is fitted with a black spade-shaped hour hand, a tapered black minute hand, and a red centre sweep seconds hand with a circular counterbalance. The dial is inscribed Smiths Sectric below the twelve o'clock position and Made in England at the base flanking the six o'clock position. The reverse shows the synchronous electric movement housing embossed with the Smiths name and a mains power cable.
