A silver pair-cased verge fusee pocket watch by Joseph Edmunds, London - An early 19th-century silver pair-cased pocket watch, the movement signed for Joseph Edmunds, London, number 28535. The watch features a manual wind verge fusee movement with an ornately pierced and engraved balance cock decorated with scrolls and a grotesque mask at the base. The movement includes a silvered regulator dial and a blued steel screw. The silver inner and outer cases bear British hallmarks, including the lion passant for sterling silver and makers marks WH and ID. The white enamel dial is set with Roman numeral hour markers and an outer minute track, protected by a bullseye glass crystal. The outer case contains a printed paper watchmakers label for Archd.
