Japanese Ceramic Okimono of Two Shishi Lions and Brocade Ball - A Japanese ceramic okimono depicting two shishi (mythical lion dogs) playing with a central brocade ball known as a tama. An impressed artist signature is located within a rounded rectangular cartouche on the side of the figure, featuring characters in an archaic seal-script style. The underside of the piece is flat and unglazed.
