Victorian Sterling Silver Open-Face Pocket Watch by H. Samuel of Manchester Dated 1894 - This is a Victorian sterling silver open-face pocket watch manufactured for H. Samuel of Manchester. The watch features a white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position. The dial is signed H. SAMUEL, MARKET ST, MANCHESTER and is fitted with gold-toned hands. The silver case is decorated with engine-turned engraving on the back surrounding a central vacant shield-shaped cartouche. The interior case is hallmarked with the Birmingham Assay Office anchor mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the date letter u for 1894. It bears the maker's mark HS for Harriet Samuel and serial number 128253. The watch is a key-wind and key-set model, featuring a hinged cuvette with a winding aperture. Weight: 111g.
