Late Victorian Cast Brass Owl Novelty Container - A novelty container cast in brass in the form of an owl and likely intended as a vesta case or small trinket box. It features intricate textured detailing representing feathers and plumage. The head is attached to the body via a pinned hinge at the reverse of the neck, allowing the head to flip open to reveal a hollow interior. The eyes are inset with small, dark spherical glass or jet beads. Dimensions: Approximately 6cm to 8cm in height.
