Joseph Simpson, Girl at the Mirror, Etching - Joseph Simpson (British, 1879–1939), Girl at the Mirror. This work is an original intaglio print, likely a combination of etching and drypoint, depicting a seated woman from a rear perspective as she views her reflection in a circular hand mirror. The print is a strong impression with good contrast and velvety blacks. Signed in pencil 'Joseph Simpson' to the lower right margin and titled 'Girl at the Mirror' in pencil to the lower centre. To the lower left margin, there is a further pencil inscription reading 'Frank Potter'. The print is presented in a simple black wooden frame with a cream-coloured mat.
