Two Victorian Mahogany Artist's Boxes, one by C.E. Clifford, London - Two nineteenth-century mahogany artist's boxes containing various professional materials and accessories. The first is a Victorian artist's watercolour box, the interior lid featuring a blue paper label with gilt lettering for C.E. Clifford, Artists Colourman, 30 Piccadilly, London, The second, deeper mahogany box is fitted with a black leather-covered insert and contains a printed instructional pamphlet titled The Heatherley View Finder and Value Tester from The Heatherley School, London. Both boxes are constructed from mahogany with brass hinges and lock plates.
