Tri-ang Jones KL 44 Mobile Crane - This pressed steel model represents a 4 ton Jones Mobile Crane, manufactured by Tri-ang. The toy features a rotating cab finished in red, mounted upon a black four-wheeled chassis with solid black tyres. It is equipped with a red lattice boom and manual winch mechanisms operated by crank handles on the cab exterior. A pulley system is located at the boom tip, with a lifting string connected to an internal winding drum. A transfer-printed inscription on the underside reads: A model of the 4 ton JONES MOBILE CRANE made by K. & L. STEELFOUNDERS & ENGINEERS LTD. of Letchworth, England, makers of the WORLDS BEST MOBILE CRANES which are distributed in Great Britain by GEORGE COHEN SONS & CO. LTD. Additional decals are present, including JONES KL CRANE on the side of the cab and JONES KL 44 CRANE on the lattice boom.
