A Large Contemporary Pedlar Style Character Doll with Extensive Miniature Wares - A large contemporary character doll designed in the traditional style of a 19th-century pedlar. The doll features a bisque or glazed porcelain head and hands with fixed inset brown eyes, finely painted facial features, and gold-toned wire-rimmed spectacles.The figure is heavily laden with an extensive assortment of miniature wares and trinkets, including various small dolls, teddy bears, wicker baskets, metal charms, items of jewellery, a miniature birdcage, tiny books, and household novelties. The doll is mounted upon a square red velvet-covered plinth finished with gold-toned bullion fringe. Height: Approximately 55cm - 60cm.
