Vintage Holmes and Leather Ltd Professional Board Guillotine - A mid-20th century professional-grade board guillotine manufactured by Holmes and Leather Ltd of Gillingham, Kent. The tool features a substantial wooden base board with an etched grid pattern and an upper ruler scale graduated in inches. It is equipped with a heavy-duty metal cutting blade and handle assembly, alongside an adjustable wooden guide bar secured by a central knob and a metal wing-nut fastener. The metal blade guard is clearly stamped with British Patent Number 645819, which dates to the late 1940s. A black and gold manufacturer's label is affixed to the assembly, identifying it as an H and L tool.
