Framed Cast Replica of the Great Seal of King Charles I - A 20th-century framed cast replica of the obverse of the Great Seal of King Charles I (reigned 1625–1649). The circular relief depicts the King enthroned beneath a formal canopy, holding the royal regalia of sceptre and orb. The figure is flanked by the royal heraldic supporters: a crowned lion to the left and a unicorn to the right, each holding a banner. The scene is encircled by a border containing a Latin inscription in relief, including the visible fragments S D I F O R V L I and E L I B L. The seal is cast from a composite material, likely resin or plaster, and finished with a dark grey-purple tone to resemble aged wax. It is presented within a white-painted wooden shadow box frame with a black card mount and a small printed paper identification label at the base which reads CHARLES 1 1625 - 1649.
