Art Deco Sterling Silver Cigarette Box Viners Ltd Birmingham 1937 - An Art Deco sterling silver cigarette box of rectangular form by Viners Ltd. The hinged lid features fine engine-turned decoration with a central rectangular vacant cartouche, bordered by parallel linear bands. The box is supported on four stepped corner feet, characteristic of the period. The interior is lined with cedar wood. Hallmarked to the side for Edward Viner (Viners Ltd), Birmingham, 1937, with the lion passant standard mark. The front face bears a presentation inscription including the words CHAIRMAN, BOARD, and IN RECOGNITION. Gross Weight: 541g.
