Parker-Hale Pattern 1861 Musketoon Percussion Short Rifle .577 Calibre with 24 Inch Barrel - This is a muzzleloading percussion short rifle, a high-quality reproduction of the British Pattern 1861 Enfield musketoon manufactured by Parker-Hale. Chambered in .577 calibre, the firearm is configured with a 24 inch blued barrel fitted with a flip-up ladder rear sight and a blade front sight. The barrel is secured to the full-length wooden stock by two blued barrel bands. The lock plate is blued and features a classic percussion hammer. Key markings include the manufacturer's name ”PARKER-HALE LTD” on the top line and ”ENFIELD” on the second line forward of the hammer, with a numeral ”4” struck beneath. An engraved crown symbol is present on the lock plate behind the hammer. The rifle is equipped with polished brass furniture, including the nose cap, trigger guard, and buttplate. A steel ramrod with a slotted head is housed in the channel beneath the barrel.
