Ornate Toledo Decorative Rapier Replica - A decorative souvenir sword produced in Toledo, Spain, modelled after a late Renaissance swept-hilt rapier. The hilt is constructed from cast yellow metal and features a complex guard including a knuckle bow, recurved quillons, and a finger-ring guard. The langet is embellished with a cast grotesque mask, and the bulbous pommel features relief scrollwork and figures. The grip is finished with a tight black cord wrap. The straight, single-edged steel blade has a short ricasso and an elongated etched decorative panel. This panel is filled with black and red pigments depicting scrollwork, floral motifs, and a central human mask. The word TOLEDO is etched vertically within the decorative panel on the blade.
