Tudor Revival Quartersawn Oak Serpentine Sideboard - An early 20th-century Tudor Revival oak sideboard of triple-bowed serpentine form. The cabinet is constructed from quartersawn oak, displaying prominent medullary rays throughout the top surface and interior drawer fronts. The top is fitted with a low three-panel galleried backboard supported by bulbous turned uprights. The front edge features a carved gadrooned border above three doors. Each door is decorated with deep-relief carvings depicting acanthus leaves and central floral motifs. The central cupboard opens to reveal a flight of three graduated drawers with semicircular finger pulls, while the outer cupboards contain adjustable shelving. The piece is supported by bulbous gadrooned melon feet. It retains its original carved oak vertical pull handles and small metal escutcheons. A single skeleton key is included.
