Chinese Republic Period Cloisonne Enamel Baluster Vase Table Lamp - A Chinese cloisonne enamel table lamp, featuring a converted baluster form vase. The object is decorated with a deep blue ground enriched with a repeating gilt-wire cloud pattern. The central motif comprises large chrysanthemum blossoms in shades of yellow, orange, and white, accompanied by green foliage and a small blue bird in flight. The floral arrangement is depicted emerging from a stylized scholar rock rendered in white and brown tones. The neck is finished with a multi-coloured ruyi-head border. The vase is mounted on a circular carved dark wood base with openwork scroll decoration. It is fitted with a tarnished brass cap and a bayonet-style bulb socket incorporating a push-switch.
