Beaver and Tapley - Tapley 33 Teak Modular Furniture Units Designed by Robert Heritage - A collection of mid-century modern modular furniture units from the Tapley 33 range, designed by Robert Heritage for Beaver and Tapley. The group comprises several teak-veneered cabinets including a drop-front secretaire or cocktail cabinet featuring mechanical stays and internal shelving, a double-door cupboard, a shallow drawer unit, and a further cupboard unit. The pieces exhibit the characteristic minimalist aesthetic of the 1960s and 70s, with clean lines, matched-grain veneers, and recessed finger pulls. Internal surfaces are finished in a dark-stained wood or laminate. Included with the units are the original black-painted metal wall-mounting brackets. The metal hardware bears the embossed mark Tapley 33.
