A Large Bronze Spirit of Ecstasy Sculpture after Charles Sykes - This large-scale cast bronze sculpture depicts the Spirit of Ecstasy, the iconic bonnet mascot designed by Charles Robinson Sykes for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The figure is captured in a dynamic forward-leaning pose with arms outstretched and flowing drapery billowing behind to form wings. Executed in the Art Deco style, the piece is finished with a deep brown-black patina and is mounted on an integral, domed circular base. There are faint incised marks on the top of the base near the rear foot, which are not clearly legible. The sculpture is a hollow cast construction of significant scale, intended as a decorative interior piece. Approximately 55cm x 42cm x 30cm.
