An Indian Army Presentation Plaque Featuring a Pair of Crossed Kukris and Multiple Corps Badges - A post-1950 Republic of India period presentation plaque of shield form, constructed from stained wood. The display features a pair of crossed traditional Gurkha-style kukris with curved steel blades. The blades are decorated with incised patterns and Devanagari script. Each kukri is fitted with a dark horn or wooden handle, embellished with inset white metal pins and metal bands, terminating in a metal pommel cap. The blades include the characteristic 'cho' or 'kauda' notch at the base. Surrounding the kukris are six cast white metal badges representing various Indian Army corps: the Indian Army Service Corps (IASC) at the top centre, the Indian Army Ordnance Corps (IAOC) at the bottom centre, the Indian Army Medical Corps (IAMC) to the left, and a technical corps badge to the right. Two smaller badges featuring the Lion Capital of Ashoka over crossed kukris are positioned in the upper corners. The wooden shield is beveled and has a rear mounting eyelet, with the kukris secured by nuts through the board. A circular stamped mark is present on the bolster of one kukri, though the characters are illegible.
