A Victorian Architectural Black Slate Mantel Clock - A Victorian architectural mantel clock featuring a black slate case with a pedimented top decorated with incised scrollwork. The front is flanked by a pair of brass fluted columns with Corinthian capitals and circular bases, all resting on a stepped rectangular plinth. The circular white enamel dial is set with black Roman numeral hour markers and an outer minute track, housed behind a hinged gilt-brass bezel with a glass cover. It features black spade-form hands and two winding apertures. Internally, the clock has a mechanical eight-day movement striking on a coiled wire gong. A circular stamped mark is present on the backplate, and a pendulum bob is visible within the case. Dimensions: Not recorded.
