WWII Canadian Kodak Co. Limited Pattern G. 376 Gun Sighting Telescope in Original Transit Chest - A Second World War era 7x50 gun sighting telescope, Pattern G. 376, manufactured by the Canadian Kodak Co. Limited. The telescope body is constructed of metal with a durable black enamel finish and features a heavy-duty mounting bracket with integrated adjustment gearing. The body is clearly inscribed with GUN SIGHTING TELESCOPE, PATT. G. 376, CANADIAN KODAK CO. LIMITED, and SERIAL NO. CAN 639. This pattern was typically utilised by the Royal Navy and Royal Canadian Navy for naval artillery. The set is housed in its original wooden transit chest, finished in battleship grey paint and stencilled with the pattern designation and the number 3795. The interior of the lid contains a printed diagram and instruction sheet for cable assembly and lamp fitting adjustments, referencing drawing number 376. Included with the telescope is a large, double-eyepiece rubber face guard. The chest is fitted with brass hinges, a metal toggle latch, and a heavy-duty green canvas webbing shoulder strap.
