White and Newton Mid-Century Three Door Teak Wardrobe - A mid-century modern three-door wardrobe by White and Newton, dating from the 1960s. The exterior is finished in teak veneer featuring a vertical grain pattern. The interior is lined with a contrasting darker wood veneer, possibly sapele or mahogany. Each of the three doors is fitted with a solid teak, rectangular block-style handle and mounted on external metal hinges. The right-hand single door opens to an interior compartment fitted with five shelves. The left-hand double-door section provides a larger storage area typically used for hanging space. The piece is of single-piece construction and sits on an integrated plinth with short, square corner feet. While no maker labels are visible in the images, the distinctive handle design and construction are consistent with the White and Newton catalogue.
