Two Mid-20th Century Yellow Metal and Rhinestone Costume Jewellery Items including a Faux Turquoise Set - Two mid-20th-century costume jewellery items. The first is a fringe-style necklace featuring a double row of clear round-cut faceted glass rhinestones leading to a central pendant cluster of square and round-cut stones in a darkened silver-toned metal setting. The necklace is fitted with a bolt ring clasp and a safety chain, and is presented in a fitted box with an interior lid printed in black script reading 'G. H. Bird. Diamond Merchant. Hanley & Stoke.'. The second item is a jewellery set consisting of a necklace and matching clip-on earrings. The necklace is constructed from yellow metal mesh or snake chain, decorated with a row of blue faux-turquoise cabochons, and terminates in a fixed knot design with two pendant tails. The matching dome-shaped earrings feature concentric rings of similar cabochons in scalloped settings. Small rectangular marks are stamped on the reverse of the necklace terminals and clasp, though the characters are not legible as a name.
