Late Victorian Arts and Crafts Pyrography Pine Wall Cabinet - A late 19th-century Arts and Crafts wall-hanging cabinet constructed from pine. The single door features a distinctive organic shaped side cut-out and is heavily embellished with hand-burnt pyrography, also known as pokerwork. The central composition depicts an owl with outspread wings perched above two entwined snakes, which are set against an open book, leafy branches, and a central floral motif. The door border and cabinet edges are decorated with a repeating geometric pattern of burnt-in triangles and dots. Internally, the cabinet contains a single shelf above two small drawers, each fitted with a turned wooden pull knob. . No maker's marks, stamps, or signatures are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.
