Decorative Animal Figurines and Ceramic Dish Including Babbacombe Pottery Robin and Goebel Distributed Seals - A collection of late 20th-century animal figurines and a decorative dish. The lot includes a glazed ceramic figurine of a robin, realistically painted with an orange-red breast and brown plumage, perched upon a white tree-stump base. This piece bears a green printed circular backstamp with BABBACOMBE POTTERY and LOWNDS PATEN in the outer arcs, and Made in England by A with the numeral 2 at the centre. Also included is a group of naturalistically modelled cast resin seal figurines in various poses, featuring a spotted seal, a huddle of grey seals, an adult with pups on a textured ground, and an adult with pup mounted on an oval wooden plinth. One seal base retains a circular gold foil label printed Distributed Exclusively by Goebel and Goebel United Kingdom. The collection is completed by a small green-glazed ceramic dish featuring an integral figurine of a seated German Shepherd dog.
