20th Century Glazed Ceramic Recumbent Deer Figurine - A 20th Century ceramic figurine of a recumbent deer depicted in a naturalistic resting pose with its head turned to the side, featuring textured moulding to represent fur and small protruding antler buds. It is finished in a rich, multi-tonal ochre and brown drip glaze with a high-gloss finish, with the eyes, nose, and hooves highlighted in dark brown and black glazes. The figurine is constructed with a hollow interior. Within the hollow base, there is a small impressed stylized symbol, though the mark cannot be read as a maker's name. No other factory marks or signatures are visible. The unglazed base rim shows some minor red-coloured surface marks.
