Nine Late 20th-century Peter Bates English Miniature Cameo and Bas-relief Wall Plaques - A collection of nine late 20th-century English decorative miniatures from the Miniature World of Peter Bates. The group comprises two large oval wall plaques and seven circular miniatures. The oval plaques are faced in burgundy velvet with matching twisted corded borders and base tassels, each featuring a white matte-finished bas-relief figure of a kneeling child in prayer. The circular miniatures are set within brass-toned metal frames under convex glass covers. These depict classical motifs including the Three Graces, a mythological couple, a chariot scene, and Victorian-style female profiles, rendered in white against dark blue, black, and light blue backgrounds. The reverse of the velvet plaques retains a rectangular gold foil label printed BOY AND GIRL IN CAMEO FROM THE MINIATURE WORLD OF PETER BATES MADE IN ENGLAND. No other maker marks, backstamps, or signatures are visible.
