BYZANTINE GOLD CROSS PENDANT WITH FIVE WOUNDS OF CHRIST
Ca. AD 700 - 1000.A Byzantine gold cross-shaped pendant is decorated with five moulded circles, to represent the five wounds of Christ. Between the arms, there are four small moulded points. On the top is a circular hoop that fixes the pendant onto a chain or rope.
