GHAZNAVID CANDLESTICK WITH STYLISED FLORAL MOTIFS - Ca. AD 1300 - 1500.A bronze candlestick with a traditional form, featuring a truncated conical base. The shoulder is designed with a depressed inner circle and a projecting rim, from which rises a short cylindrical neck at the centre. The solid, conical candle holder is decorated with an arabesque, while the neck is adorned with a vegetal motif over scrollwork. The concave area of the shoulder is decorated with a phytomorphic openwork frieze.
