NASRID GOLD PLAQUETTE - Ca. 14th century AD. A gold plaquette of rectangular shape with slightly rounded corners. These plaquettes were produced by squeezing two thin sheets of gold between a positive and a negative die. The impression will be very accurate because the sheets of gold are pure, thin and soft, which resulted in a precise ‘squeeze’.
