A painted gesso architectural model of the Alhambra, Granada, of rectangular form, depicting a mihrab decorated in gilt and polychrome in the Nasrid style, the decoration typically Nasrid with lobed cartouches filled with pseudo-thuluth calligraphy with arabesques and interlocking vegetal tendrils, within a walnut wooden frame inlaid with various geometrical marquetry woodwork motives and ebony including a very little percentage of small thin cut pieces of bone inlay.
