A KHORASAN BRONZE OIL LAMP AND STAND - 12th Century CE - 13th Century CE. A superb cast bronze Khorasan oil lamp with large pedestal and stand. The lamp with octagonal pedestal base, broad bowl with finger holds at sides, bird final lid, loop handle with zoomorphic final as thumb rest. Incised decorative designs throughout. Composed of four removable pieces: base, column or stem, tray and lamp.
