UMAYYADS GLASS UNGUENTARIUM - Ca. AD 600 - 900. A glass flask crafted in the shape of a fish using a mould. The vessel's exterior is adorned with blue glass decorations. The production of such flasks remained unique throughout history and were reserved for the upper classes in Islamic medieval society.
